  1. Among the Google tools most common I use the browser. Sometimes I use Google Maps and Street View. They are extremely useful in such a big city like Warsaw - mainly to check the access road or availability of parking spaces. Sometimes I also use Google Docs - if you work in a group and there is no opportunity to meet face to face, this tool is extremely useful too. Possibility to work at the same time, by several people, on the same file facilitates communication and increases efficiency. If someone is looking for research on any topic I recommend the Google Scholar browser (http://scholar.google.pl/ ). Maybe isn’t as extensive as PubMed (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed), but it also works quite well.

I think that the possibility to see so many places virtually it’s a great idea. We can see them without leaving our chair at home – so comfortable. I'm not saying that it’s better than the actual tour, but it gives the ability to see the world. Personally I don’t use this tool to sightseeing. Maybe once using street view, I went on a journey through New York what have I already wrote in the post „Things you can learn about on the internet. Or simply enjoy them.” (http://konwersatorium3.blogspot.com/2013/11/week-5-things-you-can-learn-about-on.html ) from November – thus a long time ago. I’ve never planned tour in this way - at most, to the place of meeting.

I haven’t heard about Business Photos yet, but it seems to be an interesting solution. For me can be useful especially when choosing a meeting place, for example, if we want a nice setting for an important dinner or business meeting. The interior decor is one thing - but also important are the level of service and quality of food. On these issues, opinions of people who have already visited the place could help. We can find them on portals such as for instance www.gastronauci.pl.

  2. I'm a frequent user of Google Street View as well - as it a useful tool. In my opinion Business Photos is nothing more but the extensions of Google Street View. Yes, it is a nice feature but it does not sound superb for me, probably I will check out this feature a few times. Answering to the question "Will Google rule the world?" I think it has already managed to achieve it, if we think of the popularity of their browser, gmail and other apps. There is no other company in the world that possess so much information about us, people. Is it good? Definitely no - but it is task of government and other controlling bodies to define boundaries for such big companies.

  3. Business Photos can be really helpful, but unfortunately photos taken inside restaurants or pubs are usually showing empty, clean spaces - we decide where to go without considering the crowd aspect. However, it's a very nice idea - hopefully it will get more and more popular in Poland, so we can discover more places in our cities without going out.

I love doing some virtual travels myself by clicking on random street view and just "walking" through streets thousands miles away. But usually, I use Google Street View for more practical reasons - when I'm supposed to go somewhere and I want to know how the building looks like, I check it out there. It helped me marvelously when I was looking for a new apartment.

  4. And what do you think about the possibility to see so many places virtually?
In my opinion this is great that we have such opportunity. Unfortunately this isn't widely used and google still searches possiblities of using its data base.
Do you find the aforementioned Google tools useful?
Yes, this is usefull, but firstly you have to know that such thing exists. Secondly the data base has to have most of places otherwise it is useless.
Or do you think Google will soon rule the world?
It depends on what o you think ruling the world is, if you mean that you will make decision based on what google wants you to do - it is ruling the world already.
Do you find the new services, including Business Photos useful?
As I said before if everyone will use it would be very usefull.

  5. I think this is great way to start travel planning. It is very helpful when we going to visit some place and we need to prepare our journey. Virtual traveling is in my opinion best possible way to introduce restaurant, shopping centers and hotels. We can easily look around and understand for example building plan.
If we think that google will soon rule the world, we were wrong. Google already control information that show us. Every query that we looking at google is personalized so we can't say that is true, because everybody can have different result.

  6. No doubt, Google offers us great services. I guess Gmail is the best e-mail service available on the market. I love Google docs, and I’m using it frequently. I’ve recently seen pictures of some press agency’s office on Google Business Photos. Street View is also a great tool! It’s amazing that you can travel on-line wherever you want! Sometimes I view places I visited on holidays, it’s great!
The range of Street View is also amazing – every little town, so many places.

Have you seen the game that uses Street View? If not, check this out: http://geoguessr.com/
You appear somewhere on the planet Earth, and you need to guess where you are. You use Street View to navigate your surroundings. It’s great fun! Sometimes you only see fields – that’s tough, because you have go down the road to find signs.
Many things can lead you though – vegetation for example. Steppes might mean you’re in Australia, but not necessarily. You check the traffic – left, or right-hand side?
Language can also help – when you see Cyrillic alphabet, you might be in Russia… or Ukraine or Bulgaria… When you’re lucky, you can determine your position up to several meters. However, meters change into hundreds of kilometers, when you find yourself on a highway in the USA, with nothing but fields all around you!
I recommend this game to all of you! After playing it for a while, the number of places I want to visit has increased :)

  7. To be honest every time I am about to go for a trip I check out the place with Google. Sometimes the pictures are out of date but still sometimes they are current. I like to check out the surrounding of my hotel. Actually once I even canceled my reservation after seeing pistures from Google becuase they were something entirly different from those pictures posted on hotle's website. So, yes, travelling with Google can be pretty usefull for me..But most frequently I use Google mail, maps and browser , similar to @Mariusz Sz. Google Docs is widely used on my animatrion lessons so I am a little forced to use it, but I admit it is cool. I don't like Google Plus though, it is so inconvenient..

It is kinda frighting for me that Google has such huge part in our Internet life, they can controle almost everything, they have so much date….scary, isn't it?

According to those Buisness Photos - I have never used them so I can only rely on what @Martyna Zych for exapmle is saying - that it can be helpful

  8. To be honest, I use Google mostly for searching the web, rarely Google Maps of Street View. All these new things from Google are interesting but most of them are not so useful to me as Google search engine or Google Maps. Things like Google+ are a bit annoying when you're logging to your account and attacked by a numerous prompts about "new, great features". I don't know, maybe they are great but when I see this mighty page and realise how much time I'd must spend on dissolving the whole interface, wondering "what this thing do?" or "where that thing is?", I'm starting thinking that I don't feel like doing it. Which of course don't mean I'm against Google developing more and more new features. I'm all for it, just not everything suits me, that's all.

  9. And what do you think about the possibility to see so many places virtually?
I think it's fun. I don't think that many people have opportunity to see so many places, so if even a little it's still a fun experience.

Do you find the aforementioned Google tools useful?
Every tool has it's use. I don't use them, but they have to be useful somehow.
Or do you think Google will soon rule the world?
I don't think google has giant robots with lasers. No lasers -> can't rule the world.

Do you find the new services, including Business Photos useful?
Never used that service and I don't think I will be using it soon. There are many services google provides and I don't think anyone I know uses all of them.

  10. And what do you think about the possibility to see so many places virtually?
I think Its good idea. You can plan everything much better.
Do you find the aforementioned Google tools useful? Or do you think Google will soon rule the world?
I use google view very often. For me its the easiest way to find some places.
Do you find the new services, including Business Photos useful?
For some people for sure it will be useful. It would be great to have it for
school or some goverment buildings. Asking everyone there is pretty tiring.
