  2. The problem with gadgets is that most of them hardly ever become popular. Although I have no idea why the mirror gadget isn't already known. I love it. Each day we spend some time in front of a mirror so why shouldn't we make this time more productive? Regarding the rest of the gadgets I think that many of them are made just for sake of creating. A great example of such a gadget is a transparent computer screen. It hinders the user more than it helps him. A gadget that is really good will quickly find buyers. The last big breakthrough I remember, was the invention of a smartphone. Where are those phones' improvements that were mentioned? I've never heard about them so that leaves two option: either they're brand new or not as fascinating as the advertisement says. A gadget's life is fragile and brief. It's a short time till someone comes up with a better idea.

  3. Kasiu: I agree, that transparent computer may not have been the best idea.
But I would prefer stand in front of my mirror without anything. We try to make all of our time productive, even the one when we take a shower (which basicly, is the only time where we can think about anything at all, and not about work, or school....)
So, live my mirror alone ;)

  4. These gadgets are great!
Telephone on hand – the best thing about it is that you can never lose or forget it, because it’s always on your hand. But is it comfortable and easy to read? The hand is not a smooth surface.

The mysterious gadget also looks like a phone. Is it a phone?
The mirror is great, I would like to own such a thing:) I would read news while brushing my teeth – I’d do it longer and more accurately than I do now, just like in the first clip. You remember The Jetsons? They had it all :D The creator of this cartoon predicted the future quite well!

  5. Nice ideas, I love new technologies and gadgets and I would love to have the mirror that shows me news while I'm brushing my teeth.

I am waiting patiently to lay my hands on Nokia Nano... This concept is already 5 years old, but still far away from coming true:

Also good information for fellow artists - scientists are battling out to make the first marker ever that takes colours from anything around us (by micro-camera and special ink mixing technology).

  7. most of these gadgets will presented great masses of followers. Some gadgets as displays on your hands, but let's face it are highly futuristic. Do you actually desire such an integration technology?

Smarty Ring this is so awesome... <3
for sure one of the top on my must have list. this is kickstarter project. I think one year and I will have one.
Mirrors with displays this will be revolution in many companies. The use of windows as additional displays will surely be received with open arms.for this gadget I keep my fingers crossed.

  8. I do like gadgets but as I mentioned in my comments to one of previous posts, I really hate when they just don't work properly. I prefer to wait until at least most of initial bugs get fixed. Then I might be interested and buy one of those gadget. I use gadget that make my life easier but I don't like to rely on them too much... Therefore, I don't follow news about new gadgets and actually don't think too much about their futures ;)

  9. gadgets are really popular this days. Everyone have tons of them.

My paren't didn't like have pet's and when they discover robot - cat, or dog loks and act like one.. i'm sure i wanna buy one of them :D it's a littel better, because they didn't need food, go to walk, they only need electricity

  10. I think it’s a matter of time when robots will be in all of our lives. With the speed at which technology is evolving and people are getting more and more high-tech implants we are already becoming humanoids… at least to some extent :)
Will robots ever have consciousness like we do? That is hard to predict, however they will be able to calculate what is better for them and at that moment we could be at risk.

  11. First of all I will allow myself to point that there is a wrong pointing for the link under this post "Week 12: Future Gadgets" in Konwersatorium1. Which simply link us to Week 7: Future of labor.

    Back to the topic.

This is natural for a technology development to drag behind lots of inventions and new ways of it implementation. And what are those "gadgets"? Gadget is nothing else then a new innovative product, which implements some technology or idea to help us in completing certain tasks.

Everyone loves gadgets. People like to complete everyday task in the simplest possible way. And some problems are often resolved with release of new gadgets. Lets say a fridge with tell us what is out of the stock so we can go and buy stuff we need without opening our fridge. The next step in development of this particular gadget would be a fridge which sends this information to some store, so next time we go there they will have everything ready for us to pay or perhaps they will simply ship those shoppings to our homes (after of course our fridge would play our bill). All this without a single participation of human. Is this is not something that we would like to have? Everyone one loves gadgets! :)

There are various kinds of gadgets, but i think everyone of us would find something useful.

  12. Pretty cool, but I feel like we're still light years to fully taking advantage of technology that we predict for the future. Remember 20-30 years ago they predicted that soon everything will be done by the robots? Yeah, right. Obviously we can see cool potential of many things but somehow their widespread introduction takes decades..

  13. Robots already replace humans in some jobs (for example in car factory). Todays' production needs support of robots. I prefer the scenario where robots support people in everyday tasks. As I wrote in one of previous articles comments - all machines such as microwave or computer are kind of robots. We use them everyday. For now, I believe that robots with their own awareness is something that we treat seriously in far future
