Described by the media as the most powerful raver. Beside him there are always many young beautiful women. He’s a well-known founder of Playboy magazine.
About his biography…
Hugh Hefner
was born on 9th April 1926(Yes, he’s 89 years old!) in Chicago. He completed
Sayre Elementary School and then Steinmentz High School. In the second school
Hugh conducted IQ test and scored 152 points. His teachers always described him
as „unenthusiastic”. While studying in high school he
founded a school newspaper. His goal in
life was to work as a journalist. He spent 2 years in the U.S Army before the end of World War
II. He studied at the Chicago Art Institute for 2 years. Next he studied
psychology at Urbana-Chamaign. Here he met his
first wife Mildred Williams. In 1950 he earned a bachelor’s degree.
After graduation he started work in Esquire magazine. Esquire was a magazine
for men about fashion and literary works.
About Playboy…
Hugh left Esquire magazine in 1953. He wanted to
start his own magazine, similar to Esquire but much better. He raised $7,000
from investors and $1,000 from his mother. At the beginning he planned to name it „Stag Party”, but he had to change it for legal reasons. Finally he called it „Playboy”.
The first edition of Playboy was produced in Hyde Park, Chicago. Hefner wanted
to succeed so he bought a photograph of actress Marilyn Monroe in the nude,
before her biggest movie star career and placed it in the magazine. Americans
could read the first issue in December 1953. Playboy sold in 50,000 copies. It
was the beginning of the Playboy brand. The Playboy logo, a well- known rabbit
was chosen because of its „humorous
sexual connotation.” In 1971 he built
the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. As he
said, „he always wanted to have a house
with atmosphere o
Hefner
received many awards for his contributions to publishing industry. In 2002 he
got the Henry Johnson Fisher Award. This is the highest honor of the Magazine
Publishers of America. In the same year Hefner was an honorary member of the Harvard Lampoom. In
2005 was produced a reality show about him and his girlfriends at the Playboy
Mansion. His last wife is a model Crystal Harris who Hugh married in 2012. In
October 2015 the management of Playboy decided to make a radical change. Hefner
decided to stop using photos of fully nude women. The changes begin in March
2016. It’s a pity :/ … ;)

“It was a very sexy time. It was all wild, but respectful. The men were elegant, and you wanted to badly get the most charismatic man to notice you. Girls were everywhere, giggling and laughing.”

Questions…
1. What do you think about Playboy magazine? Have you ever read or just looked at images ;) ?
1. What do you think about Playboy magazine? Have you ever read or just looked at images ;) ?
2.What do you think about Hugh Heffner?
3. „Nowadays you can buy love”. What is your opinion
on this matter?
God damn it, that man knew how to get by in life :)
ReplyDeleteFor your questions:
1. I used to watch it, read it but after some time I just resigned, it's not fun for me anymore ;) People say it's a magazine for men, but here is the funny thing, my mom reads it every month.
2. He had an interesting life, I don't really mean the playhouse or all the young woman here. He is more like a man of success, because You can't deny it, he achieved much in life. I think he is happy with his life, he always wanted this, so yeah, I am happy for him :D
3. I think that people who say that are very sad or had a very very bad experience with similiar situation. Maybe you look for love in a wrong place then ? Money helps generally speaking, but I wouldn't say that we can buy love. If you can somehow then it would be very sad - it should be sad that people care only for money.
Greetings to your mom! What made her so interested in this magazine?
Delete1. Only watching on pics, are there text too?!
ReplyDelete2. Talented man who selling love and lifestyle ;)
3. „Nowadays you can buy love”. - Empty words that do not mean anything
"Empty words that do not mean anything". Could you explain in more detail what you mean?
DeleteThe thing about playboy is that was a very overrated magazine as for the nude part, back in our days. All of us probably laughed at having it and watched it in our early school days, because it was cool to get it, but playboy is mostly articles and stuff, the nude part is really a small piece of the magazine. And the articles are most often those targeted at some casual men, which I dislike and I don't find them interesting for me.
ReplyDeleteHugh had a lot of luck to start his magazine in the good times, spent his life in company of beautfiul women and probably many friends as he was quite succesful at gathering a lot of money - what would a man need more to be happy?
And as for the love buying, money always attracted potential partners and it was never difficult for succesful people to meet someone, marry someone and stuff. The only problem is, this kind of "love" can still make its makers unhappy.
"what would a man need more to be happy?" Maybe, really true friends. People like him are at the highest risk of meeting hypocritical people.
DeleteThis article reminds me the situation that used to happen when I was much younger. I used to be very confused when I've seen my dad reading Playboy when my mom was present. I only heard about this magazine that it consists of nude photos, I couldn't understand why my mom let my dad read it. Then, when I was a teenager, I've looked at the content of Playboy for the first time, and what really surprised me was the fact that it bearly showed naked women, it rather consisted of articles (which by the way were really interesting and concerning subjects much more significant than women's bodies).
ReplyDeleteI really admire Hugh Hefner as a businessman: he suceeded, he had a great plan and found the unsupplied demand. But when it comes to the life that he lived, I'm not really sure if he was as happy as it looked like. No-one would deny that his life has been full of pleasures, but no-one knows of how many real emotions it consisted.
When it comes to the last quote, it depends on the target partner that we're looking for. There are many people who get attracted to someone only because of money one has, but still there are many individuals that look for something more. The only question is if we're looking for a real or fake love.
Your comment is the most accurate. . We dont't really know what life was at Playboy Mansion except the reports from different media.
DeleteHugh Hefner is that kind of person, who know what he needs from life and he aims this in every step. He do what he wants no matter what other people are thinking are saying about what he's doing and about him. I think that, thanks to all of this, he's very fullfilled and happy man :)
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think how many people can do what wants without looking at others?
Delete1. Yes, when I was a teenager. Just for the pics, of course.
ReplyDelete2. I guess he's a great entrepreneur, but as to what he's doing now, I really dont care.
3. No, you can't. Unless it's a dog u're buying ;)
Have you heard about the old millionaires who have a young 20 year's old girls? Maybe it's not always easy to tell the difference between lust, sexlove and true love.
Delete1. I always want to be a priest and I never read that kind of articles or look at some pictures of nude women. It is embrassing and priest Rydzyk will be unhappy. :D
ReplyDelete2. Hugh Heffner probably ask himself a qestion when he was young :"What do you like to di in your life? And then he do it"
3. I think you can buy a woman or a man if you like but you can't buy love.
1. A magazine with pictures you can find elsewhere in internet for free. I don't remember if I saw a full realease of this magazine.
ReplyDelete2. A man that created a big company. I think he is self-satisfied. I really don't know much about him.
3. You can buy someones time but not feelings.
1.So I watched it , when I was younger
ReplyDelete2.I don't have opinion about him
3.You can't buy love , but You can buy something else if You know what i mean :D
ReplyDeleteAt one time yes, I read, but it is bored after the certain time. How watch the same : P
The man which achieved a lot. I think that it was interesting for it, wasn't bored to "profession".
I think that some way it is possible. Sometimes love bought for money. But I think that it won't be last long, because it is love to the wealth rather than to the man.
1. Yes, I have read the magazine but actually there is nothing interesting for me. Whole magazine is pumped with ads and articles are boring and topics are terrible.
ReplyDelete2. What do I think about Hugh Heffner? Hmm lucky guy what to say more. He had some kind of dream to make very popular magazine for man and he did it. He took money and made his dream real. Now he has many profits from from that. He don't have to do anything else than what he really want. He has a lot of money which allows him to do that.
3. No you can't buy love... How it would be even possible? If you'r paying someone for loving you it's not real love...
1. Probably everyone watched or just 'watched by accident' when we were teeneargers.
ReplyDelete2. He have mind to business, and he do what he want to do.
3. No, that's not true love.
1. Uninteresting content and better pictures we can find on the internet :)
ReplyDelete2. He achieved a lot. He founded one of the most recognizable magazines in the world and he spent his entire life among beautiful women. He is one of the examples that you can achieve a lot in life if you just want to.
3. No, you can't purchase feelings. This is abstraction for me.
1. Of course, I guess everybody was wondering what mysterious playboy magazine offers inside, so everybody checked it sooner or later, I'm not an exception.
ReplyDelete2. A guy who achieved his own dream, or at least built a strong bussiness that secured everything he ever wants.
3. Sadly, I think it's true. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iyeUcFKRv4
Playboy is a newspaper which several years ago had a big success, because people do not have access to the Internet. I think that buying this magazine made then great joy of many a man, because not everyone had the opportunity to admire these "views" (and even if it is not so often as if he wanted) and this newspaper gave him that opportunity. Is today playboy is as popular as in the beginning? I'm afraid not, and the reason is simple - why spend money on a few pictures, since almost everyone has internet? Why go to the store, expose yourself to the seller's wry look, if it can be avoided by reviewing Internet sites at home? And until there comes an unexpected bill with a demand for payment, that no one knows about your secret ;) I think Hugh achieved something, what he sought, but I doubt that he could truly be called a fulfilled and happy person. Of course, you can buy love. Just go at night to the appropriate district, but I doubt it will be a true love ;)
ReplyDelete1. Many people (especially women :)) mistakenly believe that "Playboy" is just pictures of nude photos. In this magazine very often are published interviews with bands such as music, which usually do not give interviews. Of course,I not to mention about the photo shoots stars from show business :).
ReplyDelete2. The man who knew how he wanted to live, he created a giant company and throughout his life he lived in some way as in heaven.
3. I think that true love can not be bought. For any other paid VISA cards are accepted.
At first, I only looked at pictures but later on I started to appreciate the articles. I don’t know much about Hugh Hefner but I definitely admire him for the greatness of his business.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to the third question, I’m totally sure that love can’t be bought. You can buy somebody’s company, admiration or respect but nor true love:).
1. Yes, I've read the articles, and yes, I was checking out the photographs, duh! I think Playboy is one of the best, if not THE best magazine of its kind. It has very often intelligent articles and great interviews. The ladies are just as a nice add-on.
ReplyDelete2. I think if James Bond wouldn't become a spy, he would be Hugh Heffner.
3. Each to his own, I guess.
