  1. I agree with the article only partially. I strongly believe that if a young person really wants to find a job then he'll find it. First of all when looking for a first job it's best to ask within family and friends or consider being self-employed. Nowadays there are a lot of discounts and special programs to encourage yound people to open their businesses. I started my proffessional career about 9 years ago in IT industry by applying for a junior developer role. Money was really low, but it was my first job, so I knew I can't expect much. I knew what I wanted to do from begging, so maybe it was easier for me to decide. However I have friends who after finalizing studies begun refocusing their interests accordingly to the market needs. I'm not saying that IT is only industry which is doing quite good within crisis times, but it's definitely worth giving a shot :)

  2. Łukasz, you said that when a young person wants to find a job it is not a problem. Maybe in Warsaw or other big cities it's not. But there are really a lot of young people in Poland who not only have problems with finding a job for a student, but also no better job perspectives. So please remember that not everyone lives in our "big city" reality.

I started working just after finishing high school. For a few years I was a secretary, then I was a saleswoman, a barmaid, a graphic designer and finally I'm a programmer- I could find a job if I wanted, but for a long time it wasn't a serious job with serious salary. I wasn't earning enough money to live completely by my own, there were always a housing problems and usually I lived a modest life. It was surely good enough for a student, but absolutely not enough for a person who wants to have a family, or own flat, or even own car.

Now I work in IT and I have chosen it because there is a plenty of job offers so I can feel safe. IT is surely a good industry to work in nowadays, it is fast growing and offers stable, well paid jobs. But we can not be fooled by our (I mean people working in IT) perspective, there are plenty of industries that are suffering badly because of the crisis.

  3. I agree with persons, higher but only partially. To find a job in such cities as Warsaw or Cracow, admittedly a problem isn't, since we have a lot of offers from large corporations. However in such a way that he isn't also at the beginning we are getting a job dream. On my case, I can tell I started in the PLAY company and is working there until today, not therefore because is well paid, but therefore because I can a lot learn. Therefore I think that the work in the major city isn't a requirement which it won't be possible to jump over. However I will agree that in small cities, or poorer of type Łódź, it is hard to find a job. I also think that in the placement a winter period is the most difficult period, since then many companies are frozen

  4. What are the solutions to the unemployment among young people?

In my opinion they should go to work! If they can find the job, they should do something what they like and make money from that. Listen to the Joker! :) http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m42vrt9kSI1r8ybi3o1_500.gif So if you like to make cookies, make them and sell to local market. If these "young people" would think that this is unprofitable, then they should make simple calcualtion:
sitting next to the TV and complaining about everything = 0$
doing something (even for 1$ per hour) = more than 0$

Have you ever worked? What is your job experience?
Yes, I work since I remember. My official work experience is quite boring, but I allways do something which is profitable for me (give me experience or money).

Have you ever used help from the University Career’s Office or similar institutions to find a job or extend your professional experience?
Not realy, because I didn't need it, but I think it is very usefull for students which don't know the market, who are new "in the town".

  5. I have never used the University Career's Office or other similar institutions before to find a job.
I think that I have a little work experience for my age; since last year I am on the internship and also couple months ago I have started to work as a freelancer. Previously, I worked casual but not in my field. In the place where I'm doing my internship there is a boy of my age who has a great working experience. He started to work as a graphic designer when he was 18 and now he has 7 years of working experience. He was lucky because since high school he knew exactly what he wants to do in the future. Nowadays, a majority of young people do not know what they want to do in life and where they want to work.
