It is the fact that video games are becoming more and more realistic.
We have new games like series "Battlefield" and "Call
of Duty". These games are used by the military to train solders.
As such games promote violence Red Cross decided to
stop people from playing them .
Red Cross made a special list of crimes in games. These are torture,
attacking civilians, killing prisoners. But, it is not specified what
they want do with those games
My question is: it is really gamers who are
at fault here? This topic wouldn't be so hot without GTA V (Grand Thief
Auto V) in which a player has to torture an innocent man.
Red Cross arguments that playing that kind of game causes more aggression
. It makes people go out and kill, they don't know what is reality and what is just
a game.
But it's really stupid. Believing that we should have only serial
killers around us.
In other way development of GTA V, and war games have really nice
promotion.
People have always had a companion. From the prehistory
when they had ahalf wild
wolf, horses. They did it to survive. Now this has changed.

meet in a subway an old woman with a big dog.
Scientists believe that our
choices about animal can say a lot about us. Those who prefer dogs

I don't know what to think about
it. A dog looks more friendly, but catshave

games of this type are available in shops, some can be downloaded for
free and some of them are already attached to a web browser .

are also deluxe editions of some games. They cost round 600PL or
more! But often you get a special figure from a game, an artbook,
soundtrack on a cd, sometimes exclusive content.
Some
are paid per month and others are based on micropayment ( download
and play for free, but we must pay for additional content or
improvements , if you want of course eg. to changecolor of hair,
better armor.
The
undisputed king of MMO games is considered World of Warcraft
(unfortunately...), which ruled supreme for years. While the game is
not as popular as it used to be, it is still being played by over 10
million active players.

MMOs are still amongst the popular type. Blizzard, the developer of
World of Warcraft, can be the best example of it. If you want to play
the popular WoW, you have to pay a regular fee. Fortunately, for
players, MMO developers are starting to give up subscriptions . More

are choosing to operate in a free -to-play model(like
"Terra" which at the beginning was paid monthly, now is
free). Analysts have speculated that Star Wars: The Old Republic -
one of the most famous MMOs of recent years - will be one of the last
productions of this type , in which we will have to pay subscriptions
. Or rather, like Electronic Arts has already resigned from the
compulsory fee of up to 50 level, which gives us a lot hours of
play.

of MMO can be found directly on the Internet, in a web browser. Among
them we can find so many interesting titles that cannot be plaid
during one lifetime. They are perfect to spend some free time.

In the shadow of recent tragedy of Broad Peak, where two Polish mountaineers died just after they made the first winter ascent, there are a lot of news and articles everywhere concerning climbing the highest mountains in the world. The most dangerous sport activity and tourism method that can be - mountaineering - is called by some the most egoistic one. A man can leave his family to make the first climb, risking leaving his children without a father and a wife without a husband. Also, when climbing in a group of people, one should leave the weakest behind or risk his/her own death. No friends up above, they say.
The question is, what drags people to this form of tourism? It's extremely dangerous and exhausting, pushing body limits to the borders. Unfortunately (or maybe not), the beauty of mountains is overwhelming for some of us. When a person discovers it for the first time, the comeback is imminent - another climb is just a matter of time. I personally think that this "addiction" affects every Himalayan mountaineer. They show a lot of respect to every mountain they climb, and so they are prepared for the worst - or so they say. After the tragic death of Tomek and Maciej, some of their friends said that despite overwhelming sadness and mourning, they are glad that the climbers died the way they wanted to. Sad, but strangely beautiful in some way.
The real unsung heroes of the Himalayas are Sherpas - locals who probably do the most exhausting and dangerous work in the world for the living. They help mountaineers carry their equipment all the way to the peak, sometimes even helping the climber to walk. The sad thing is that we all read in papers about brave men making their first ascents, but only a few people know the names of Sherpas who climbed along with them.
Climbing as a type of tourism has also its urban version. City climbing requires transmission or water towers, and of course a brave (or stupid) person willing to do it with a camera. It is carried in one hand or attached to the head. Some people treat is as the part of le parkour - fast city dwelling, but it's not about shortening your path home, but seeing the city from the best angle possible. The "most famous" city climber is probably Arnie from the movie "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?".
Unfortunately when this movie became viral, younger and younger people tried (and still try) to follow Arnie's way. Safety ropes are considered not cool enough to use. If you are not afraid of heights, I really recommend watching this documentary.

Last time we focused on the form of extreme tourism that you can basically perform anytime and anywhere. But what if you want to go far away? Foreign trips are expensive, standing in front of famous churches or museums with a group of retired German people sounds boring enough to stay at home... There is a way! It's called hitchhiking, and it's free. Maybe not risk-free, but who cares anyway! :)
I am lucky to have some hitchhiking friends who shared their experiences with me. I heard a lot of crazy stories like: "I wanted to go to Spain, but suddenly I got into the Sahara desert!" or "We were just sleeping in this cave in Cappadocia, when a few guys with guns woke us up and gave us food and drink". Seeing their happy faces and hearing those unbelievable stories, the dream of my own hitchhiking journey began to grow inside of me. And so I started big - by flying to Japan with my friend and hitchhiking from Osaka to Tokyo.
It was by far the best thing I've done in my life - testing my own abilities to adapt to cold weather, sleeping in weird places, eating the worst things any European can imagine (and enjoying it!) and of course walking through crazy-long distances, trying to find a place where cars could stop. There is no better way to discover a foreign country and its culture, that's for sure. People are usually very open and helpful, allowing hitchhikers to sleep in their own houses and explaining various traditions. You can see, taste and feel everything like a normal, everyday inhabitant. It's impossible to do it with a travel agency!
With a little knowledge of finding cheap flights and willing to hitch-hike the whole road ahead, you can travel basically for free. However, a tent in your backpack and tent-friendly country is required - not every driver is eager to let a stranger sleep in his house. If you want to try it yourself, be prepared to spend few nights outside and have some bucks left for food, drink and in case of emergency situations. A mobile phone with GPS is also required to be 100% safe.
People should avoid this method of travelling if they want to focus on what's the best in a chosen country - like travel agencies do. Free exploring often leads you to less popular city districts, slums, even regions which are not visited by tourists at all. In Asian or African countries, this can lead to a situation when you are clearly the one and only foreigner in some area, which causes a bit of sensation amongst the locals. The good part? Discovering beautiful places unknown to a typical tourist, of course. And there are many of them!
Our country is the host of one of the biggest hitchhiking events in the world. Have you heard of Auto Stop Race? Every year a destination city is chosen and the great race begins! Groups of 2-3 people dance and jump on the side of the road to attract cars, and the one which gets to the target city first receives a reward.
