Curry is one of the most popular spices in the world, which
cannot be avoided in any kitchen in the

Have you ever used curry spice ?
Why do you use spices ?
Everything goes well with curry, but then again not all curry is good. Since it's a blend of different spices, it's very important that all the ingredients are of good quality. Most of the curry spices you have in mainstream supermarkets are very poor. Try going to Kuchnie Świata or something like that.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for proposals. I have heard a lot about Kuchnie Świata, but I never been there.

ReplyDeleteI didn't "use" it, but I did taste it, and it's like one of the most universal spice I tried up to that point.
ReplyDeleteProbably to make meals taste better, is there any other reason to use spice? ;)
From what I know, it's a lot more varieties of curry (may consist even 25 ingredients such as snek, basil, mint, dill, allspice, thyme, parsley, anise and mustard). Personally, I really like curry, but when it is used to typical Indian dishes, because I think that by its distinctive flavor, this spice is not suitable for every dish. And like most people I use spices to give a deeper flavor to dishes.

ReplyDeleteIt's hardly to believe that using spices will protect you from various diseases or getting fat. I think it's more complicated and complex. Those people you mention, live in the regions that cultivate they're food traditions. They simply eat food, which is known by their fathers and grandfathers. I suppose they draw upon their knowledge about healthy food. I think this is the main reason of their good shape and health conditions. Moreover, i read ones about eating healthy and there was a statement that our organism is adapted to food of our origin and it digest it well.
ReplyDeleteWell everything tastes good with curry, but we also need to say that there are many, many kinds of curry. They may be very different from what we call "curry". There are curries that have very different taste from others, that different that I wouldn't call them with the same name for example there is a curry which should be used only for lamb meat and it's very spicy and there is also a sour curry, so curry here is more like a base to most meals.
ReplyDeleteAs Dann said: People who mostly use it, like I said the "proper curry", known this for years, their elders used it and this is their heritage. They eat food which is healthy, they live by rules of their fathers and we can see effects of that lifestyle. They are in good shape and live very long time.
In my life I used a "standard european" curry which is ok but I also tried better curry from shops with asian food and it's a different story to tell how good that curry is. Try to find one in your area and let your imagination go wild on composing a meal with it ;)
I didn't know that curry is good for our health. I'm glad because I love curry :) I often prepare simple dish with chicken, curry and rice to school . It is very, very tasty. It is better than curry dishes in Asian restaurants ;) You forgot about green curry.

ReplyDelete2. I use species because I love when meals have distinct taste. I love to cook and experiment with food and I think that various species are very useful. I heard that hot species help to burn fat.

ReplyDeleteWhat are you doing with curry dishes?
DeleteCurry is one of the most popular spices so I use it pretty often. It adds a unique taste for the meals. The reason why I use spieces is to make my food richer in flavor.
ReplyDeleteI never had the opportunity to use curry spice. The reason, I think, is that I don't cook very much, but when I do it's almost never nothing oriental. Nevertheles, I could start using it, why not.
ReplyDeleteI use spices to pull better, intense flavour of the dish, or to add some specific taste to it.
I ate curry seasoned meals and they tasted well. I use spices every day, can’t imagine eating only boiled meat, or just vegetables. I rather use single spices than mixes, mostly basil, oregano, coriander, and pepper of course. I used to use a lot of salt, but it is not healthy, so nowadays I try to avoid it.
ReplyDeleteI use curry spice very often because I really like it. When I cook some dishes with rice I add curry to water when I cook rice and it taste really good for me.
ReplyDeleteI use species to every meal. I can't imagine food without species.
I often use curry, as good as other spices. In my opinion food without spices tastes like nothing. Spices give dishes unique taste and can change completely its essence.
ReplyDeleteThey have also health benefits, so we should use it everyday :)
Curry is an often guest in our cooking since my parnts' visit to India. Even though it's heavily overused there, the dishes prepared with it, when connected with some other hot spices, are kinda preferable for us over many traditional polish ones. It's good to know, that curry is healthy as well, it will be one more reason to choose it when a need of decision making arises.
ReplyDeleteI use curry almost everyday. My usual dinner consists of chciken curry, turmeric rice and vegetables. I totally love it. Generally I use many spices, I can't imagine any meal without it. Asian cuisine is the best in terms of variety of spices they use, that's why I'm really into it.
ReplyDeleteWhat is your favourite dish with curry ? ;)
