New level of shopping in Tesco

Nowadays the word “progress” is closely associated with technology. But there is something more to it. It is inside us, and it’s called mentality

For years, big retailers like Tesco, Auchan, Carrefour have tried to improve the quality of traditional shopping and the result was never satisfying and at some point people started to feel some discomfort resulting from frequent changes "for a change".
As we know, there were always two most famous types of shopping – online shopping
(i.e. Polish Tesco ezakupy) and traditional shopping (i.e.Tesco Hypermarkets).

The difference between traditional and online shopping:

Traditional Shopping
1.) You must carry your purchased goods
2.) You probably will have to drive or walk to the store
3.) You can see and you can touch what you want to buy, which is a good thing

Online Shopping
1.) You don’t have to carry anything.
2.) You have to wait for your goods to be delivered.
3.) You can’t touch or see the items you have purchased.
4.) There are many promotions and markdowns using different promotion cards.
5.) You can select from a wide range of assortment.
6.) There are many facilities like wish lists or wish cards.

Virtual Shops

Few years ago, Tesco, better known as Home Plus in South Korea, started a new thing which you can check in the video below:

They are called Virtual Shops and they mix traditional shopping with online shopping, which is a great

thing (I think). You can still see the assortment, so you won’t forget anything, you can buy things just with one click, you don’t have to go to the store, and your purchased item will be delivered to your home. There is still a chance, that your items can be defective.

Questions:
- Would you buy things in random places using your smartphone?
- When in your opinion will  Virtual Shops technology  be used in Poland?
- Is there any disadvantage of Virtual Shopping?
